Maasai Mara Kenya 2013
An edition of 75 in all sizes
Not only are leopards satisfying to experience but often their environments are too. Also, leopards do not often avail themselves to picture opportunities for appreciatable lengths of time either, so in the rush to make the picture it is easy to forget its surroundings.
There is no doubt a detailed picture of this leopard (Bahati of the Maasai Mara) would have made a good picture, but a treescape such as this one surely should be included. Thankfully the resistance to capture a close up resulted in a most satisfying silhouette.
I had fully expected the final picture to be presented in colour, however a black and white treatment afterwards easily persuaded me to decide on its final appearance.
