Introducing two unmissable Indian wildlife photography safaris
2025 will be the 9th year I have run my Indian wildlife photography safaris. This is an exciting personal milestone but, more importantly, it’s a testament to my passion for helping both amateurs and professional photographers to witness the very best of Indian wildlife.
If you’re interested in joining me on an upcoming Indian wildlife photography safari, then you’re in the right place. In this article, I will tell you more about these guided safari experiences, and what wildlife you can expect to see in India while there.
Why book an Indian wildlife safari?
There are so many reasons to go on safari in India! Not only will you get the chance to witness a whole host of majestic Indian wildlife in their natural habitat, but also you’ll develop your wildlife photography skills and build your portfolio.
The country is home to some of the most impressive creatures on earth, and the chance to witness these with your own eyes is both exhilarating and humbling. Expert photography guidance while on safari in India will also help you to improve your wildlife images and get the best possible results from your camera.

1) The Wildlife of India Photo Tour
The Wildlife of India tour, in April, is a 16-day guided wildlife photography safari that offers the perfect opportunity to capture the essence of India's diverse wildlife.
We’ll spend twelve days in the Kaziranga, Pench and Bandhavgarh Parks, and enjoy twenty-two game drives in total. We visit the only place in India where it's possible to see rhinos, elephants and tigers in one place.
2) The Tigers of India Tour
The Tigers of India photo tour, in May, is a captivating nine-day journey across India dedicated to photographing its majestic tigers.
This carefully curated Indian photography safari is structured to provide opportunities to observe and capture India's magnificent Bengal Tigers for no less than six consecutive days.
We visit Bandhavgarh National Park, renowned for its rich tiger population, and do twelve drives with exclusive access to the prime zones of the park.
3) Combine the two into an epic 20-day Indian wildlife photography safari adventure!
For an even more immersive experience, why not consider combining both photography safari experiences? Since they are held consecutively, the Wildlife of India tour can be seamlessly integrated with the Tigers of India itinerary.
Doing both will allow you to extend your adventure and you’ll get an unforgettable experience lasting twenty-four days in total, including twenty days in the parks and with no less than thirty-seven drives.
This combined Indian wildlife safari experience is an unparalleled adventure and the ultimate Indian wildlife photography tour!
What Indian wildlife will you see on safari?
On the Wildlife of India photo tour, you can expect to see the Bengal Tiger, Asian Elephant, Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Dog (dhole), Jackal, Sloth Bear, Gaur, Wild Water Buffalo, Wild Boar, Langur, Macaque, Mongoose as well as several kinds of deer, and many birds.
On the Tigers of India photo safari, we will prioritise sightings of the Bengal Tiger. May is the opportune time for tiger sightings. On previous trips, we have been fortunate enough to see tigers on every outing!
If you choose to combine the tours, then you can expect to see a plethora of wild animals – hopefully all of the above - and experience the very best of what India has to offer.
Wildlife Highlights You Can Expect
Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga is famous for its one-horned rhinos — it’s home to the world’s largest population. You’ll also spot Asian elephants, water buffalo, and plenty of birdlife. The mix of open grasslands, rivers, and tropical forests makes every drive an adventure.
Pench National Park
Pench has that Jungle Book magic. It’s prime tiger territory, with healthy populations of tigers, leopards, and wild dogs (dhole). The teak forests and lakes are stunning, and the wildlife encounters here never disappoint.
Bandhavgarh National Park
If you want to see tigers, Bandhavgarh is the place to be. It has one of the highest tiger densities in India, making sightings virtually guaranteed.
